Elizabeth Askren will lead France’s Orchestre de Bretagne in a series of educational and family concerts cenetered around Saint-Saëns’ Carnaval des Animaux.
Elizabeth Askren will be featured on Friday, September 7th as a guest artist on Downtown during France Inter’s special all-day hommage to 9/11′s 10-year anniversary.
Elizabeth Askren has been invited to guest conduct at French music festival Flâneries musicales de Reims in June, conducting the Orchestre de l’Opéra de Reims in the world premiere of Daniel Binelli’s Concerto Buenos Aires with the Newman/Oltman Guitar Duo.
Elizabeth Askren guest-conducted the Brahms Philharmonie de Paris this May for a series of all-Brahms concerts with soloist Simone Roggen, violonist. The program featured the violin concerto and the colossal 4th Symphony.
The French Brass ensemble KABrass teams up with Elizabeth Askren, winner of the 2010 edition of Adami’s « talents chefs d’orchestre » prize, and organist Jorris Sauquet to present a program of English and American jazz and classical repertoire for organ and brass.
